PUBLIC-DATA RESEARCH

Turn a leaderboard into a reviewable watchlist, not a copy decision.

These notes explain how Local Toolkit Lab reviews public Polymarket trader data, its sample limits, and the risks a headline ranking cannot show.

RESEARCH ENTRY POINT

Check the sample, then the risk, then whether the wallet merits more observation.

Daily posts use Polymarket's official public leaderboard for discovery. Deeper review checks recent activity, closed samples, current exposure, and behavior that may be difficult to copy.

Sample size

State the time window and sample cap so a small history is not presented as stable performance.

PnL and volume

Review PnL, volume, and active markets together instead of treating one return number as a verdict.

Current risk

Keep open exposure, unrealized PnL, concentration, and large drawdown risk visible.

Behavior

Flag high-frequency or market-making-like activity that may not be realistically copyable.

WHAT WE DO NOT PUBLISH

A high rank does not automatically become a recommendation.

  • A capped history is never described as a complete win rate.
  • Short-term PnL does not erase large current open losses.
  • The automation never mentions, messages, follows, or bulk-replies to public traders.
  • No return, principal, follower count, or exchange profit share is promised.

HOW THIS RELATES TO THE PRODUCTS

Research discovers; software enforces operating boundaries.

Whale Research stays read-only. Polymarket Copy handles only new activity after startup and decides whether to act or skip under amount, budget, price, market, and position limits. They do not become an automatic recommendation system.

All material is public-data research, not investment advice or a recommendation to copy.
